Mirembe Kinji ( Kinji Lockjaw )

Posted by Tim Speiser in

Traveling with her new husband and step daughter along the Great Eastern Road Mirembe Kinji was the happiest she had ever been in life. Growing up Mirembe never knew her father yet in her home village it was rumored that her mother
had an affair with the sea god Neptune. She was often shunned and mocked by her peers over the hearsay and as time passed Mirembe learned to walk alone and depend only on herself until one day she meet a handsome stranger.Tall, dark and handsome with a protector's spirit, Mirembe was instantly attached to her new lover and theirs was a love of intense passion. She was his heart and strength and in return he was her provider and protector.Until the eve of her wedding when
their caravan was attacked by a band of thieves and slavers preying on all unsuspecting travelers. Mirembe and her step-daughter were taken as captives, their caravan robbed and her husband left for dead in the dark desert.Immediately upon arriving in Ireem, Mirembi and her step daughter were sold into slavery and bound to entertain all those who dwelled in Slaver's Bay.Until one day she overheard the news of a group of knights taking in a wounded stranger found in the desert. Could it be her love survived the brutal attack of their wedding's eve? And if so how can she rescue step daughter and herself from Slavers Bay and return to him? As fate would have it not many moons after Slavers Bay was invaded by the Knights of Ireem and there was a great fire. Mirembi knew it was their only chance of escape. All she had to do was
render one of the knights unconcious and steal his armour for protection. When her opportunity finally arrived...she saw his face.It was her love in his grand knightly armour. Suddenly there was a call for help from her step daughter being taken away by slavers. She promised her love would go and plan an escape for her and her step daughter and meet him within the
city's wall by dawn of the next day. However that day never came. When she returned to her chambers she was overtaken by the smoke from the fire and by dawn her husband, master and step daughter were gone. Depressed and empty from once again losing her love and chance at freedom Mirembi decided to end her sadness. Her lifeless body was found on the banks of the bay among the debris from the battle the night before. Rescued by a merchant and sold to a member of the Magi as payment for a debt she lived among them and studied their magic and ways. It is now her duty to stay true to those who took her in and to once and for all reunite the family she lost not once but twice.

Life in Ireem

Miremebe is often found studying in the Magi Tower, wondering the city in hopes to find her love
or dwelling near the sea. It is her belief that the path of peace lies in the waters. It is the peaceful yet powerful
spirit of the waters that can provide the answers needed to bring peace to the Ireem that lies outside
the palace walls. The ocean has many stories to tell to those who are willing to listen.
